I'm a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the University of Galway, part of the Research Ireland Centre for Research Training in Digitally Enhanced Reality (CRT D-REAL), supervised by Dr. Ihsan Ullah, Dr. Susan McKeever and Prof. Peter Corcoran.
My research studies the three-way trade-off between efficiency, privacy and accuracy in video Human Activity Recognition: how far each can be pushed, and how gains in one cost the others. My work combines differential privacy, federated learning, random projections and singular value decomposition, and has appeared at IJCAI, ECML PKDD and ICIP.
Before joining the University of Galway, I obtained a Master degree in Robotic Engineering, a Master degree in Mathematical Sciences (Option Data science) at AIMS Cameroon and a Master in Machine In machine Intelligence at the African Masters in Machine Intelligence (AMMI), and interned at IBM Research Africa, where I worked on retrieval with multiple query vectors, for LLM embeddings. Outside the lab I'm building MarketPulse, a price intelligence platform for African informal markets.
